Minority Support Eroding For Kerry Campaign
If your base still needs energizing, you've got a problem. The story below headlines "Edwards Courts Blacks" in Florida. Another Sunday, another Black church. This one only half-full. Far down in the story there is this telling line: "Democrats are looking to stave off erosion of support among a core party constituency and energize their base voters."
Could it finally be coming to pass, that blacks taken for granted for so long are finally feeling that way? Remains to be seen if Republican platform issues are attracting more minorities or if the Democrat party itself is just repelling them.
