Now moveon.org spokesman, former Vice President, and loser of the 2000 presidential election Al Gore, and the ACLU want to try to criminally prosecute Bush and/or impeach him for doing everything within his power to protect and defend this country.  This, after wanting to impeach him and prosecute him for not 'connecting the dots' on the Sept. 11, 2001 attack.

Speaking of which, project Echelon, the secret software snooping program that was developed and used during the Clinton administration, is the technology that was used to gather intelligence that Al Gore calls illegal wiretapping.  As I recall, Al Gore was part of that Clinton Administration.  Al Gore knew about that program.  It was announced to the public when it was developed, then it was dropped as an issue.

The technology is more like data mining than wiretapping.  And because of that process, it is not possible to know in advance who the target is.  Nevertheless, Al Gore and the rest of the anti-war anti-Bush and anti-American left want to tie one hand behind our back during a war.  Not just any war but a war where WMD's used by a terrorist is a possibility.   Until the Democrats get on the right side of this war, they won't have a chance at returning to the White House.

White House Lobs Accusations Back at Gore (AP).

White House press secretary Scott McClellan gestures during a press briefing on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006 in Washington. The White House accused former Vice President Al Gore of hypocrisy Tuesday for his assertion that President Bush broke the law by eavesdropping on Americans without court approval. 'If Al Gore is going to be the voice of the Democrats on national security matters, we welcome it,' said White House press secretary Scott McClellan.
