The Camden, N.J. school system is in shambles and the students and the city will pay the price. In no special order, school district officials and employees are under investigation for cheating on test scores, fraud and 'misuse' of the taxpayers' money and embezzlement. It certainly makes the case for a school voucher system for children caught in the failing Camden schools.
Tough time for schools in Camden. For the Camden school system, a tumultuous year ends when summer vacation begins this week, leaving a district rocked by scandal and officials trying to figure out how to repair the damage. [Front Page -- Philadelphia Inquirer]
