Good.  It's about dam time that we engage in the media war as well.  Responses such as this one will be effective in showing the Iraqis a choice of where to put their allegiance, the terrorists or the Iraqi government.  I'd put money on them choosing freedom over getting their hands chopped off.

U.S. counters new message from bin Laden (AP).

This image released by IntelCenter on Saturday July 1, 2006 shows a photo of Osama bin Laden above the logo and name As-Sahab, al-Qaida's media production wing, as it appears on a internet message Saturday with a 19-minute audio recording _ his fifth statement this year and his second in two days. Bin Laden urged Iraqi militants in an Internet message Saturday to continue fighting the U.S.-led coalition in Baghdad, or else 'all the capitals in the region will fall to the crusaders.' The message also endorsed Abu Hamza al-Muhajer as the new leader for his terror network al-Qaida in Iraq, succeeding Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was killed last month in a U.S. airstrike. (AP Photo/via IntelCenter) AP - The White House countered a threatening message from Osama bin Laden on Saturday by accusing the al-Qaida leader of using the media to justify violence that is stalling the new Iraqi government's work to mend sectarian strife.

Well, it isn't exactly a tour.  But isn't it a 'timely' piece, what, after outing the terrorist financial tracking program, and the NSA program, now the al-New York Times publishes a cute 'tourist' piece of suburban Washington, DC.  In it, they talk about some of this particular town's famous residents, like the Vice President and the Sec. of Defense.  One of the two pictures in the cute tourist article is a shot of Sec. Rumsfeld's driveway, and btw, it helpfully (for who?) points out where a security camera is located.   As the church lady would say, 'isn't that special?'

This business they call the New York Times, ought to have its license revoked or suspended for a few months to teach them a lesson that free speech doesn't include everything but the GPS coordinates for their homes.   This paper uses the same lame excuse as der Slickmeister Bill Clinton, they do it because they can, with absolutely no regards for the consequences, from disgracing the office of the President to tipping off the world, including al-Qaeda, where they might find some prime targets.  It's dangerous, reckless, and irresponsible.

Like I said here, if the New York Times is not the intelligence wing of al-Qaeda and terrorists around the world, how would their actions be any different if they were?

Ann Coulter wrote the book that exposed the liberal left of carrying their politics into a Godless religion of their own, with plenty of examples.   Today, the Seattle Times has another footnote for Ann's book.  In this graduation kerfuffle, a school has banned students from playing an instrumental of "Ave Maria" because, they say, it promotes religion.   Who are the 'Godless' ones in this story?

Teen sues district after "Ave Maria" silenced. For years, seniors in the wind ensemble at Henry M. Jackson High School have selected a favorite piece of music to play during commencement... By dbowermaster@seattletimes.com. [The Seattle Times: Politics]
