Late Nite w/War Hero John Kerry, Whining About Nothing
Flash! Sen. John Kerry rebuts charges that were never made, and press rolls over, again. Whines about Republicans attacking his patriotism. It never, not once, happened.
Showing no class whatsoever, at a midnight rally, just hours after the President's acceptance speech, where he told America where we've been, what we've been through, the progress we've made, and the plans for the future, Kerry says this:
"We all saw the anger and distortion of the Republican Convention. For the past week, they attacked my patriotism and my fitness to serve as commander in chief. Well, here's my answer. I'm not going to have my commitment to defend this country questioned by those who refused to serve when they could have and by those who have misled the nation into Iraq.
The vice president even called me unfit for office last night. I guess I'll leave it up to the voters whether five deferments makes someone more qualified to defend this nation than two tours of duty."
Still hanging on to the "he misled us into Iraq" spin too. Still beating his chest over Vietnam, which no one attempted to diminish of him either. Seems to me the more Kerry carries on like this, he'll be driving away support that he can't afford to lose.
Kerry's leadership abilities certainly are becoming known, in the way he and his campaign are trying to get the vote.
